It’s RISE week! Have you gone to any sessions yet? Here are a few things you don’t want to miss.
1. The keynote speaker is Doug Ulman, President and CEO of LIVESTRONG and will be presented tonight from 6:30 to 7:15 at LIVESTRONG offices (2201 E. 6th Street). He’ll be speaking about how to profit while making the world a better place. Before the keynote will be a time to network, and after the keynote will be the Fast Pitch Competition. If you’re more interested in social entrepreneurship and work in the non-profit field, Daniel Epstein, founder and president of the Unreasonable Institute & CEO of SWAE Sports will keynote tomorrow night from 6:30-7:15 at the AT&T Conference Center. 3. Our session “Working Capital Finance” is tomorrow, March 10, 2011 from
10-11:30 a.m. at New Horizons (300 Highland Mall Blvd. Suite 300, Austin, TX 78752). An entrepreneur’s number one challenge is cash, and we’ll be discussing different alternatives for new ventures or growing companies to bridge the gap between their income statement and their bank account.
